We are on the finial stretch of this term! 

 

Transitions to the school leavers schools are taking place, reports have been written and parents have been invited to come see us to share their child's achievements!

 

We have a few dates to remember for this term

29th June - Sports day from 1pm

7th July - Teddy bear's picnic on the park

20th July - School leavers party

 

We we also do our traditional graduation photos this year, which we will email to you as well as print out!

As we get into the summer term, I would like to remind all families to bring back the slip on the transition form to start building links with your child's chosen primary school. The permission slip ensures your child's key worker can arrange to meet your new teacher and share the achievements your child has achieved. 

 

If you would like to meet your child's key worker to discuss progress and any thoughts you have about the upcoming transition to school, please plan a meeting with your child's key worker.

Would your child know how to call 999 and tell the operator where you are?

If their grown up was poorly, would they know what to do?

During this award winning first aid class your child will learn how to ring 999 if their grown up is poorly and how to put them in the recovery position.

They also learn the importance of keeping blood inside the body and how to keep away nasty germs that make us poorly.

They will learn the basics of how to help if someone bumps their head!

We finish the class by reading a wonderful story about Freddie and his first Aid adventures!

A very happy new year to all our community and we are very happy to welcome you back into setting! 

 

Thank you to all who bought tickets for our Christmas raffle, we raised £570, which is a fantastic amount!

 

We look forward to another year of creating an enriching space for all the children in our care to learn and grow with love and acceptance for the amazing children they are. 

With three weeks to go, we are getting excited about our preschool photographs on the 5th of December and the Play. If you would like a copy of the newsletter, please talk to a member of the team. 

Thank you to all who came and supported our setting at the Tropic's evening. We raised nearly £200! It would not have been possible without the support of the committee, staff, friends of squirrels group and our families. 

Today we welcomed the community police to setting. They read to the children and talked about safety in the community.

On Monday we welcomed the fire service to Squirrels to provide the children an opportunity to learn more about firefighters. We invited our stay and play families too and everyone had a lovely morning.
